NAA Standing CommitteesCareer and Networking Strategizes ways to increase the participation in career oriented networking among Northwestern alumni. This includes increasing alumni participation in career development programming offered by Northwestern Alumni Association and affiliated organizations. In addition, the committee provides feedback and recommendations on current services and products. Alumni Communications
Coordinates communication about the activities of NAA and other alumni initiatives within the University for NAA leaders. Serves as a focus group/sounding board to the Marketing and Communications team on the NAA staff on special projects as requested. Alumni Education
Offers feedback to NAA staff on current alumni education programs. Reviews new suggestions and assists in the development and enhancement of alumni education programming. Makes recommendations for increasing participation in these programs. Clubs
Implements assignments to achieve committee objectives in support of NAA strategic plan goals. Makes recommendations to the NAA staff for developing and enhancing programming for regional and national clubs to increase alumni participation in NAA programs and services. Develops and tests pilot programs. Membership
Establishes an ongoing national process to develop a portfolio of candidates for NAA Board and standing committee openings. Creates and administers an orientation for new board members, including history of the board and obligations of board members and develops an exit interview process for outgoing board members. Leadership Development
Serve as resource for alumni leadership development, primarily through training and networking events (e.g., Fall Leadership Conference and Regional Leadership Conference Reunions
Implements assignments to achieve committee objectives in support of NAA strategic plan goals. Reviews reunion survey feedback from attendees. Serves as a focus group/sounding board for NAA staff on special projects including but not limited to content of reunion volunteer training at leadership conference track sessions. Works with the NAA staff to implement reunion programs. Students
Develops and initiates recommendations to NAA Staff to increase awareness and participation of students in NAA sponsored activities. Makes recommendations on how to involve students in club activities off-campus. Ensures NAA participation in all major student on-campus and off-campus activities.
Young Alumni
Serves as the steering committee for the University’s Young Alumni Committee. Develops and initiates recommendations to the NAA staff on ways to increase awareness and involvement of young alumni in programs and services provided by NAA. |
