A Night With Northwestern in San Francisco -- The Gershwins’ "Porgy and Bess"

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
Witness a masterpiece of American folk opera as the NAA, in partnership with the Bienen School of Music, invites you to opening night of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess at San Francisco Opera. David Gockley, a key figure in restoring the Broadway hit to its operatic roots three decades ago, carries on that tradition as San Francisco Opera’s general director.
Before the performance, attend a reception and program in the elegant Green Room, across the courtyard from San Francisco Opera, where you will have a chance to get acquainted with fellow alumni, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, and learn more about Northwestern University. Guest speakers include Gockley, Bienen School of Music dean Toni-Marie Montgomery, and Karl O. Mills (KSM84), a member of San Francisco Opera's board of directors.
Open to the Northwestern community and the general public.
