December 6, 2007: Alumni host recruitment begins.

 

January 4, 2008: Alumni host application deadline.

 

January 14-25, 2008:  Student application period.  Applications due by 5:00 p.m. on January 25.

February 4-11, 2008: Hosts evaluate and rank student applications.  Rankings due back to NEXT coordinator by 5:00 p.m. on February 11th.

February 22-29, 2008: Externship matches announced via e-mail from NAA.

March 3 - 14, 2008: Students attend mandatory University Career Services and NAA pre-externship training session.

March 21-April 21, 2008: Externships take place.

Post-externship: Students and Alumni hosts complete online program evaluation surveys and keep in touch with one another.
