The primary purpose of this gathering is socializing.  We received a number of comments specifically requesting that this not be dedicated to intense networking, business promoting or job seeking.  Of course, we fully expect that in the course of normal interactions at our gatherings people will talk about their professions and that networking will occur, and we think that's perfect.

Connect with the NU Club of Colorado

If one of your New Year's resolutions is to connect with your Club, we'd love to talk with you! We are looking for leaders to assist in all areas of club business. Join a group of spirited professionals who care about building a fabulous alumni community in Colorado.  Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Membership Maven.  Do you love connecting with interesting people?  Be the Club's ambassador to the Colorado alumni (numbering over 2000 in the Front Range.)
  • Club Communicator.  We publish a newsletter once a quarter, and have multiple communications channels to stay connected to our local alumni. (We won a Communications Award in 2011!) If you have a knack for communications, not just with words but also all mediums (e.g., video, audio), you may enjoy applying your talents to our newsletter.  Creative streak is a plus.
  • Online Community Manager.  Ever dream of being a perpetual host?  Nurture our LinkedIn group for the NU Club of Colorado by keeping the conversation going.  You’ll be in charge of posting value-add information for members and encouraging discussion.
  • Event Coordinator(s).  If you’re the one in the family who gets tapped to organize family reunions, vacation trips, and company retreats, this may the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.  Many of our events could use a project manager type who naturally tends to the details.
  • Graduate Student Liason. Are you an NU graduate student, looking to get involved in the Club? We are looking for a person who can be the liason to our graduate student alumni population.

We are looking for volunteers to devote even a minimal amount of time to the club -- you do not need to become a board member to be involved! If you are interested in getting involved, send us an email at coloradoclub@alumni.northwestern.edu.

Thank you for your interest in the NU Club of Colorado. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, please contact us at coloradoclub@alumni.northwestern.edu.
