Testimonials from past Crew Club members:

“As the president of Northwestern Crew for the fall and winter of the 2008 - 2009 academic year, I look forward to meeting the Rockford alumni at the annual Head of the Rock regatta as we do every year; we really appreciate the Club being with us and all the delicious food they provide! The team travels all across the Midwest and East Coast to race in the fall and the spring, but we particularly love coming to Rockford because nowhere else do alumni consistently turn out in such numbers to support us.”
--Esther Lin, Crew Club co-president

"As a student-run and student-funded sport, our team manages all of its races, employs its own coaches, and still manages to train six days a week and compete on a varsity level. Only a small portion of our operating budget comes from the university (about 10%), so we spend our weekends and afternoons selling hot dogs at football and basketball games and doing odd jobs around Evanston to pay our coaches, enter races, and purchase equipment. The NU Club of Rockford's support of the team is very much appreciated and welcomed, and our team hopes to continue and strengthen our friendship with the Rockford alumni in the future."
--Jessica Brady, Crew Club co-president
