The women of the Council of One Hundred (C100) would like to invite all young alumnae in the greater Chicagoland and Milwaukee areas to join us for a fun, informative evening of cocktails and conversations about careers: "Critical Career Skills for Uncertain Times" -- Four Skill Sets That Will Help You Keep Your Job and Advance Your Career in a Tough Economy. You’ll be inspired by C100 members’ stories, and, who knows? You may possibly network your way into a great new career opportunity!

- Lori Anne Czepiel (Negotiating & Conflict Resolution): A corporate securities partner and head of the NY corporate group of McGuire Woods, LLP. She has extensive experience advising clients on strategic and governance matters, including merger and acquisition transactions.
- Leslie Donavan (Networking & Business Communication): President and CEO of Starfish Aquatics Institute, an international aquatics risk management and safety training firm. She is also the President of the NAA.
- Marilyn Moats Kennedy (Know your Value/Making Yourself Valuable): Founder and President of Moats/Kennedy, Inc. (formerly Career Strategies). She researches and writes about the evolving workplace, and gives more than 100 presentations a year. She has authored six books on career planning and organizational politics, including the bestseller "Office Politics: Seizing Power Wielding Clout."
- Jan Weiland (Taking Charge of your Finances): An experienced financial professional with Cascade Investment Group in Colorado Springs. She has 20+ years of experience in commercial banking and 12 years in investment services. She has been an active volunteer on more than 15 different non-profit boards, serving as Chair or Treasurer on nine of them.
Moderator
Joyce Garbaciak was the primary news anchor/reporter at WISN-TV (Channel 12) in Milwaukee for 17 years. She is a multiple Emmy winner, and currently works at WISN as a contributing news correspondent on high-profile, special projects.
The Council of One Hundred is a national network of 100 of Northwestern’s most successful alumnae, with careers and connections that range from medicine to music, engineering to entertainment, journalism to jurisprudence, finance to philanthropy, and much more.
