Calling All NUMBALUMS -- Need A Football Pep Band For Season Opener (2009)

All NUMBALUMS are invited to participate in a pep band for the Wildcats vs. Towson University game (at home) over Labor Day Weekend.

Join available members of the NUMB in the stands to play and cheer on the 'Cats.

Event Details

Percussionists are welcome, but there may be limited playing opportunities since the NUMB drum line will have just completed a week of drills and will be present in full force.

If you would like to participate, please send an e-mail message to: NUMBALUMS-pepbands@alumni.northwestern.edu.

Give your name and instrument, and whether you will bring your own instrument or will need to borrow one.

Tentative schedule is as follows:

• 9am -- Meet and rehearse at 9 am at Regenstein 011 (loaner instruments available beginning at 8am)
• 10 am -- Take the band bus to Ryan Field
• 11am -- Kickoff
• Band bus will return everyone to Regenstein after the game.

NUMBALUMS playing in the pep band will not need tickets.  Spouses and kids will need tickets, and are welcome to sit in sections near the band.

NUMBALUMS are asked to wear purple: either a purple tee-shirt, a purple polo shirt, a purple sweatshirt, or a purple jersey. Please wear a black NUMB or NUMBALUM baseball cap, if you have one. Caps will be available for purchase.
