WTTW Channel 11 Pledge Drive – Your chance to appear Live on WTTW  Channel 11 is on Sunday, June 12, 2011.

We have obtained a block of volunteer openings for NUCC members to volunteer for WTTW during its June pledge drive. Our shift will be on Sunday, June 12, 2011, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. During this time, WTTW will broadcast the pledge drive during the showing of "Anne of Green Gables" and the very popular "Chicago by Boat: The New River Tour," by Geoffrey Baer.

This is a LIVE broadcast shift, so you will appear on camera during the pledge drive segments at the WTTW Studios. NUCC t-shirts will be provided, so be sure to indicate your size during registration.

Register Today! This is a members' only event. Registration is limited to one club member and one guest for this special event. If you are not a member, you can sign up for membership during your event registration.


 

Some additional details about the Pledge Drive:

All telephone pledges are taken electronically via laptop. Basic typing skills are required. WTTW pledge supervisors will conduct a detailed training session to inform every volunteer about how to accurately take pledges from callers. All calls are recorded and periodically monitored for quality assurance. 

You will be fed and you will be trained. Food is provided for every volunteer shift, and the very nice WTTW pledge supervisors will conduct an extensive training session on how to take pledges properly. The pledge supervisors are also available throughout the shift to answer any questions that should arise during your shift.

Taking pledges is really easy; your club president already volunteered as a pledge-taker for WTTW on a live broadcast, and if he can do it, so can all of the NUCC members! 

You MUST be a member of the NUCC to sign up for this unique and special volunteer event. One club member and one guest may sign up for this special event. We will have future WTTW pledge drive events, so if you are on the wait list, we will contact you via e-mail with advance notice of when the NUCC will have the next WTTW pledge drive volunteer event.
