Austin welcomes Jill Kolasinski (WCAS '94), founder of the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) schools of Austin. Jill will discuss her time at Northwestern and how her experiences there and as a Teach for America participant led her to found one of Austin's most successful charter schools.

KIPP schools are widely recognized for narrowing the achievement gap in public education and putting underserved students on the path to college. Locally, KIPP Austin provides an excellent education to underserved low-income students in East Austin by focusing on college readiness, character development and lifelong wellness.

Find our how KIPP Austin addresses the challenges facing underserved families in our community and how charter schools fit within the future of education in Texas and America.

Following Jill's remarks, we'll host a structured, speed networking session followed by a more informal networking opportunity. Join us for an evening that will expand your mind and your network!

Remember to bring questions, business cards, and a sense of humor!
