NU Club of DC - Football Viewing - 'Cats vs. Illini November 22

Northwestern's final regular-season game of the 2008 football season is at 3:30 pm EST this Saturday, November 22. Our beloved 'Cats are now 8-3 and are assured of going to a postseason bowl game. A victory over the Illini on Saturday would help to ensure the best possible bowl in the nicest possible location. This has the potential to be our first 10-win season since 1995!

The NU Club of Washington, DC cordially invites all Wildcat Fans to join our large and enthusiastic purple-blooded crowd to watch the game telecast and to enjoy each other's camaraderie. There is no cost, except for whatever food and beverages you choose to purchase on your own. The game is being broadcast via the Big Ten Network, which is not generally available in the DC area.

We've had large turnouts of 'Cats fans for most of our games this year. Come join us at 3:30 PM on Saturday to cheer on the 'Cats with your fellow Northwestern fans! BRING YOUR FRIENDS!

Buffalo Billiards is across from the south entrance of the Dupont Circle Metro station on the Red Line. Take the stairs descending from the street to the basement level where Buffalo Billiards is located. Street parking is free but often difficult to find; there is a paid parking garage immediately south of Buffalo Billiards within the same building. Doors open at noon on Saturdays.

Blackfinn offers widescreen HDTVs not only in the room, but also within each of the booths we've reserved. FREE PARKING is available in the large municipal garage about 2 blocks away, at 7730 Woodmont Avenue, also accessible via Old Georgetown Rd. If you take Metro, use the Bethesda stop on the Red Line, which is approximately 4 blocks from Blackfinn. Doors open at 11:30 am.

Both locations can be reached in approximately 20 minutes from most Virginia locations inside the Beltway. (Remember, parking is FREE at all Metro station lots on weekends. See www.wmata.com for more information.)

NOTE REGARDING UNDER-21 PARTICIPATION: Buffalo Billiards cards all patrons, and has recently asked us to obtain advance approval for any participants under age 21. If you plan to bring anyone under 21 to Buffalo Billiards, please contact us in advance with age(s), etc. at dcpresident@alumni.northwestern.edu so we can clear their participation with Buffalo Billiards in advance.
