Join the NAA for our 2009 Leadership Symposium, Community NU: Building Your Northwestern Alumni Network. Renew career skills, build new networks, and welcome new University president, Morton O. Schapiro in a private reception. Open to all volunteer leaders with no registration charge.

Alumni leaders can attend Leadership Symposium at no registration cost. The NAA offers a reimbursement of 50%, up to $250, for travel related expenses (not including meals) for alumni club leaders. Young alumni club leaders are eligible for up to a $500 reimbursement for travel related expenses (not including meals).

Do you know that you are part of a Northwestern network of over 200,000 alumni? Is that network working for you? Join us at this year’s Symposium and learn to strengthen your connections into relationships that make a difference — in your professional, personal, and volunteer leader roles.
As a Northwestern club leader, regional director, alumni regent or NAA board member, you play a critical role in facilitating connections among alumni and growing the Northwestern network around the world. The 2009 Leadership Symposium has been designed to help you build upon our shared connections and relationships. We listened to your feedback from 2008. This year’s sessions will not only “allow” networking, but also foster expanding your bonds with other alumni. You’ll be in sessions with other alumni in your profession, and gain hands-on experience at using technology to sustain and broaden your personal networks. The 1-1/2 day symposium will provide: We hope that you will take advantage of this excellent opportunity and come back to the Evanston campus to strengthen your leadership skills and build your alumni network. The Symposium will start at 1pm on Thursday, September 10, with registration opening at 12:30pm. We close with a reception to welcome President Schapiro on Friday evening. If you are new to your NAA volunteer role, or just need a refresher on using the Electronic Toolkit (ETK), this is the session for you. Staff will walk you through the use of online event registration, managing club members, and broadcast e-mail.
