Welcome to the NU Club of North Carolina Triangle!

Our club, organized in 2003, is more than 40 members strong. We organize events for local alumni and support our area’s Northwestern students. We plan social events for recent grads who live in the Triangle for their first post-graduate jobs or to attend Triangle-area grad schools.

This past fall, specifically the weekend of the Northwestern-Duke football game on September 6, 2008, we enjoyed being with alums from across the country who came to Durham to watch the Wildcats tangle with the Blue Devils and to explore a bit of the NC Triangle area. NUMBAlums (Northwestern University Marching Band Alums) also performed that day.

In 2008, our club’s members have already enjoyed a special cooking class, meal, and wine tasting at the famous Southern Season in Chapel Hill; held our first community service program to restore water quality for natural wildlife at Lake Jordan (shore cleanup organized by the Army Corps of Engineers); cheered on the NU women's lacrosse team; had a faculty speaker/pot-luck social at a member’s home; and had our fifth annual New Student Sendoff Picnic.
