Argentina & Chile, 2009.  NAA travelers began their journey in Buenos Aires, known as The Paris of South America. The travelers explored the elegant boulevards lined with upscale boutiques, cafés, plazas, and quaint museums, then traveled to San Carlos de Bariloche, tucked between the towering Andes and the plains of Patagonia. By land and by water, travelers journeyed from San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina to Puerto Varas, Chile, over majestic Andean peaks and across pristine Patagonian lakes, then embarked on a fabulous four-night Patagonia Cruise from Punta Arenas, Chile to Ushuaia, Argentina. As they cruised along, many amazing sights were taken in -- the elephant seals on the shores of Ainsworth Bay, the massive glacier at Brookes Bay, the Magellanic penguins on Tucker Islet, the spectacular Pia Glacier, and the scenic Glacier Alley.

The group disembarked in Cape Horn to tour the national park and marvel at the rocky promontory towering over the sea. Afterwards, a visit to Wulaia Bay, site of the region’s largest aboriginal settlements. NAA travelers concluded their journey in Ushuaia, the southern-most city in the world.
