LinkedIn Webinar, Level 2: Active Alumni Base Continue to Participate

August 26, 2009.  In response to the overwhelming demand for additional LinkedIn webinars, the NAA hosted LinkedIn Level 2: Beyond the Basics. As with past LinkedIn webinars, this webinar sold out within two weeks.

David J.P. Fisher (WCAS98), founder of RockStar Consulting, hosted the webinar to help participants decipher which LinkedIn tools will help them achieve their networking goals. Furthermore, Fisher guided webinar participants in the creation of a personalized "LinkedIn Action Plan" to network online efficiently and effectively.

Fisher’s knowledge of personal development set the foundation for the LinkedIn webinars. As an author, business coach, and president of a personal development company, he understands the complexities of personal development and building personal brands with online social mediums.

The webinar served to educate alumni and friends on LinkedIn tools ranging from the user profile to LinkedIn applications. Additionally, by describing how to best utilize the company and job search capabilities, Fisher illustrated how to capitalize on the tools the professional networking platform provides.

As one of the premiere professional social networking sites, LinkedIn provides tools that allow members to fully utilize past, current, and future relationships. Through LinkedIn, members can connect to past colleagues and classmates while establishing new bonds with current peers.
