Healthcare Networking Night Recap

January 13th, 2010. Alumni and students gathered for an event blending basketball and conversation at the Healthcare Networking Night co-sponsored by the Northwestern Alumni Association and NU Athletics. Close to 120 attendees mixed and mingled pre-tip off while enjoying Wildfire appetizers and beverages. Francisco Castelan, Health Professions Advisor at Northwestern, kicked off the night by presenting a brief speech highlighting the state of the healthcare industry. Then alumni and students engaged in a speed networking session where participants gave 90 second elevator pitches. The event was geared equally to students and alumni, targeting those interested in entering the heathcare industry or interested in mentoring newcomers. Following the networking session, guests transitioned to the special Networking Night section in the arena to continue chatting and to cheer for the Wildcats against Wisconsin.
