SAA - The Student Alumni Alliance

SAA - The Student Alumni Alliance is a student-run organization that aims to build connections between students and alumni, and encourages students to build a relationship with Northwestern by offering a range of professional, educational, and social programming. Supported by the Northwestern Alumni Association, the Student Alumni Alliance plans fun events (such as NU Day at Wrigley, Etiquette Banquet, Dinner with 12 Strangers, Alumni Connections Series) on campus and opens doors to networking opportunities with alumni around the world.

By joining SAA - The Student Alumni Alliance, you can make great connections with your classmates and alumni through social, philanthropic and academic opportunities.

Dinner with 12 Strangers - Eat Dinner with 12 Strangers, Leave with 12 New Friends. This is the premise behind one of Northwestern's most popular annual traditions, Dinner with 12 Strangers. In 2011 32 dinners were held across the Chicagoland area, with over 300 alumni, faculty and students participating. For more information, check out this site.

Etiquette Banquet - A yearly dinner at which students learn the "dos and don'ts" of dining in both formal and casual environments. For more information about Etiquette Banquet and registration, click here.

NU Day at Wrigley - A Northwestern student favorite in which 1500+ students head to Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs play - this year, we will be heading out on in the spring of 2013. More information on ticketing, etc to come.

SAA/NAA Funding Grants - Have a programming idea that will bring Northwestern alumni and students together? The Northwestern Alumni Association and SAA are offering grant opportunities for student organizations with an initiative or programming proposal that focuses on building the student-alumni connection. The chosen group(s) will receive a maximum of $500 for this initiative. For more information about guidelines and deadlines, please click here.
