Reunion 2009 -- Weekend Schedule

This schedule presents a view of some of the activities that will be taking place during Reunion Weekend and learn about other weekend activities on campus including athletics, religious services, affiliated group events, and the Medill Graduate Programs Reunion. Check back often for updates and additional details.
All events will be held in Norris University Center unless otherwise noted.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23
8am – 5pm
Reunion Headquarters
Check in and pick up weekend necessities: nametag, tickets, schedules, directions, event information, and campus maps. Pick up purchased Reunion-block football tickets here. Staff and students will be available for on-site registration.
Beginning at 9am
All-Campus Walking, Bus, or Now-and-Then Tours
Take a walking or bus tour led by staff or students and explore how Northwestern and Evanston have transformed over the years. Alumni participants are encouraged to contribute their knowledge. Check back for schedule and departure times. Depart from Norris; appropriate footwear recommended.
9am – 4:30pm
One-on-One Career Consultations
Discuss career goals and job-related issues with career advice veteran Cynthia Graham of Northwestern University Career Services and her colleagues. Reunion representatives will contact registered participants by phone with specific appointment times.
9am – 5pm
Share Your Memories ... Record a ’Cat Track
Record personal Northwestern stories for the NAA web site's ongoing podcast, 'Cat Tracks. Limited slots. Sign up at the registration table.

Back to Basics: Job Search and Resume Basics for a Challenging Job Market
Join career advice veteran Cynthia Graham for a workshop focusing on the four basic strategies of an effective job search--including building an effective resume. Learn approaches to get hired in today's challenging job market.

Networking Naturally Luncheon *SOLD OUT!*
Participate in a networking discussion with career coach and social entrepreneur, Carol Ross (McC83, 87). Ross will discuss the integration of in-person and online networking, as well as how to successfully customize personal networking styles. Lunch included. Norris, Northwestern Room A & B

A Conversation with the University President and Notable Alumni
Attend a panel discussion featuring notable alumni from a variety of class years, moderated by incoming President Morton O. Schapiro. Panelists include: Pat Ryan (Bus59), George de Lama (J79), Bonnie Swanson Daniels (WCAS69), Whitney Kroenke Burditt (C99), and others. The Economy -- How We Got Here and What to Expect Next
Faculty from the Kellogg School of Management will discuss and explain reasons for the instability of U.S. financial markets and the impact it has had on the global economy. Panelists include: Arvind Krishnamurthy, the Harold Stuart Professor of Finance; Janice Eberly, the John L. and Helen Kellogg Professor of Finance; and Ravi Jagannathan, the Chicago Merchantile Exchange/John F. Sandner Professor of Finance and Co-Director of the Financial Institutions and Markets Research Center.
Percussion Session with She-e Wu
Join faculty member and percussion virtuoso, She-e Wu as she demonstrates percussion instruments and discusses their history and place in music. An opportunity to play "hands-on" will be offered to participants. A Northwestern percussion ensemble will perform.
Introduction to Ethical Wills and Donor Legacy Statements
Join Feinberg bioethics professor Laurie Zoloth for a discussion about whether your personal estate plans truly reflect your legacy to loved ones and your community.

Medill's "Student Teachers": Meet and Learn From Current IMC Graduate Students
