From April 29 – May 2, 2010, come experience the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby and all its great tradition. Recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the “top ten events to experience in a lifetime,” the Kentucky Derby is the leading stakes race for three year old thoroughbred horses. One of the oldest continuously-held sporting events in the world, the “Run for the Roses” was first contested in 1875 and has enjoyed many special horses including Secretariat, Seattle Slew, and this year’s long shot winner Mine That Bird. Your tour includes all you need to explore and appreciate this great majestic sport: special tours at horse farms, knowledgeable speakers to help better understand thoroughbreds, and attentive Premiere and Alumni staff. Join us as we plan our “Run for the Roses.”
