NAA Young Alumni Resources

There are many ways to stay connected with the Northwestern community now that you have graduated. Opportunities for career networking, attending alumni events, accessing discounted products and services, and volunteering are just some of the benefits of being a part of the Northwestern community. The NAA has a staff member who manages the planning and implementation of events and programs for the senior class and graduates of the last decade. For questions contact Matt Herek at youngalumni@alumni.northwestern.edu

Annual Events

Young Alumni Homecoming Party
Generally held on the Friday night before the homecoming game, the young alumni homecoming party is fast becoming a must-attend event. The party is a great kickoff to the festivities surrounding homecoming and reunion weekends. Class parties for the 5th Reunion and the 10th Reunion are held the following evening. This event is co-sponsored by the NU Club of Chicago Young Alumni Committee and the NAA.

Young Professional Series
The Young Professional Series is designed for those who are looking for additional knowledge and skills in the years following college.  Featured are professional development and life skill workshops on topics including networking, job hunting, career planning, managing your finances, and tips for first-time home buyers. Presenters use their own stories to help participants take a look at their own career and life choices in a new context. Events are held at different locations throughout the country and provide opportunities for alumni to expand their professional and social networks.

Young Alumni Ski and Snowboard Trip
The ski trip provides an annual opportunity to reunite with old friends and expand your network by making some new ones. The location varies each year. Past locations have included: Winter Park, CO; Park City, Utah; Steamboat, CO; and South Lake Tahoe, CA. Occurs in early February each year and registration begins in November. There is a choice for a 5-day trip or a weekend option.

Young Alumni Travel
Is there any area of the world you have always wanted to visit? The NAA travel team may have a trip for you! The NAA Travel team offers a wide range of trips that are searchable by destination, price, length of trip, and more.
