Michael D. Greenberg

Mike Greenberg has been among the signature faces and voices of ESPN for more than 25 years. He is currently host of ESPN’s morning show Get Up as well as the network’s NFL pregame show, Sunday NFL Countdown. Greenberg also hosts ESPN’s annual coverage of the NFL Draft and the weekly podcast First Draft. Over the course of his career at ESPN, he has anchored SportsCenter and hosted numerous major events, such as the NBA Finals.

From 2000 to 2017, Greenberg and Mike Golic hosted the acclaimed syndicated radio program Mike and Mike in the Morning, for which the pair were inducted into the National Association of Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame and the National Radio Hall of Fame.

Prior to joining ESPN in 1996, Greenberg worked as a sports reporter for several Chicago-area radio and television stations, including SportsChannel Chicago, CLTV, and WSCR-Radio. During this time, he covered the NBA-champion Chicago Bulls and events such as the World Series and Super Bowl.

In addition to his work as a broadcaster, Greenberg has authored multiple New York Times bestselling books, including the novel All You Could Ask For and the memoir Why My Wife Thinks I’m an Idiot.

Greenberg earned a BS in journalism from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. He was inducted into the Medill Hall of Achievement in 2015 and delivered the convocation address to the Medill Class of 2022. Greenberg has spoken at several Northwestern athletics events, including the Northwestern Alumni Association’s N Zone events before the 2018 Big Ten Football Championship and the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. His wife, Stacy Steponate Greenberg ’95 MS, and their two children, Nikki ’23 and Stephen ’25, also graduated from the University.
