Season’s Greetings from Northwestern

Northwestern University and the Northwestern Alumni Association extend warm wishes to all of our alumni and friends this holiday season. We invite you to play the following video featuring a message from Interim President and President Emeritus Henry S. Bienen ’09 H (’19, ’25, ’28 GP) and a special musical performance brought to us by the Waa-Mu Show. Singing an original piece developed by recent alumni, students reflect on why, when it comes to Northwestern, “There’s Snowhere Else I’d Rather Be.”

About the Waa-Mu Show

For nearly a century, the Waa-Mu Show has been one of Northwestern University’s most cherished traditions—a celebration of our students’ creativity, collaboration, and community. Since its founding in 1929, Waa-Mu has offered generations of writers, composers, and performers the chance to tell original stories through music and theater, launching the careers of myriad artists who continue to shape the American stage and screen today.

Each year, our students carry that legacy forward—blending their artistry with the unmistakable spirit of Northwestern to create something entirely new. This season, they’ve captured that spirit in a holiday song that celebrates the beauty of winter on campus—the glow of the lake, the crunch of snow underfoot, and the joy of being exactly where you belong.
