Stand at the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio and travel to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Get a behind-the-scenes look at a Carnaval samba school and learn African rhythms with a professional drummer. Discover the West African roots of the Candomblé religion. Explore Rio de Janeiro's Little Africa neighborhood and Salvador's Pelourinho historic district. Be mesmerized by the capoeira martial-art and sacred Candomblé dances and, of course, the samba.
