Northwestern Alumni

Alumni Regents

Commitment: 4 years

Alumni Regents are appointed by Northwestern’s president to serve as distinguished representatives of the University in global communities with significant alumni populations. In this role, they act as trusted ambassadors within their geographic areas and represent Northwestern’s president at the inaugurations of other college and university leaders.

Candidates for the Alumni Regent role must hold a Northwestern undergraduate degree and are selected based on a range of considerations, including geographic location, philanthropic support, alumni volunteer leadership, and demonstrated impact within their communities. The strength of candidates’ personal and professional networks is also taken into account. Alumni Regents serve four-year terms and may be appointed for up to two terms.
